Temple Head, a charity principally
engaged in signposting people with acquired brain injury, has invited Tracy
Norris-Evans, Head of Litigation, to give a seminar to lawyers and health
care professionals on 3rd April 2008. As part of the masterclass, Tracy will
discuss a case she recently settled involving life-time care. This involved a
little boy who developed severe brain damage resulting in cerebral palsy, as
a consequence of failure to diagnose pneumococcal septicaemia. He recovered
compensation of £4.89m, of which £2.89m will be needed to fund care for the
remainder of his life. Tracy will also explore the professional trustee’s
post-settlement role in securing an appropriate care and case management
package, accessing therapies and equipment, purchasing a suitable property
and facilitating the proper investment of the compensation.
Tracy and her team can be contacted free on 0800 66 22 66.
