225th Birthday Celebrations

We are now one of the largest legal firms in the Thames Valley and can trace our origins back to 1782 when Pierce Walsh, an Irish solicitor, founded the firm. The development of the firm mirrors the growth of Oxford as an economic and academic centre.

The anniversary was celebrated with a party attended by staff, clients and business associates.

The Lord Mayor of Oxford, Jim Campbell joined forces with Ronald Peet, our Senior Partner to cut an official birthday cake.

The Lord Mayor was presented with framed history of Marshall and Galpin Solicitors that will sit proudly in the Town Hall.

As a firm Marshall and Galpin have been at the heart of the Oxfordshire community for 225 years and look forward to being part of it for the next 225 years too!

As part of a year of celebrations, we are supporting and hope to raise significant funds for Pathway, Helen and Douglas House and the Lymphoma Association.
