CHARITY GOLF DAY SUCCESS

We are delighted to announce that out Charity golf day at Frilford Heath raised £3,500 for our chosen charity of Helen and Douglas House.

The charity provides respite and end of life care for children and young adults with life- shortening conditions, as well as support and friendship for the whole family.

Many local businesses took part in the event but it was the foursome from Lloyds Bank that took the team event honours, narrowing holding off the challenges from Matthews Comfort Insurance Brokers and Critchleys Chartered Accountants.

The weather on the day was excellent and the courses at Frilford were in great condition.

Alan Wiley a premiership referee gave as a good insight into the life of a top class referee and answered many questions. He admitted to being a Birmingham City supporter and that his greatest honour to date was being the referee for the FA Cup final between Liverpool and West Ham in 2006.

It is hoped that we can make the golf day an annual event so that we can continue to support the charity with their valuable work.
