provide a ‘one-stop’ Probate House Clearance service, dealing with the entire
process of emptying a property following a bereavement, in a quick, efficient
and sympathetic fashion. They deal not only with the valuation and sale of
furniture and effects, but also offer a very personal service, involving
close liaison with relatives and Marshall & Galpin, along with the promise
not to throw away any items that may be of sentimental value or family
importance.
As solicitors we understand
how distressing it can be to lose a relative, particularly if you have to
deal with the disposal of their possessions and sale of the house. There is
so much to sort out and if you live at a distance or have limited time,
dealing with the house is an added pressure that you may not welcome. If you
are worried that a ‘man with van’ will just take everything to the tip, but

How does it work?
There will be an initial
assessment of the property by a Hugo’s or Clearly Organised representative.
Valuable and collectable items will then be listed, removed and sold at
auction, with any monies raised going back to the estate of the deceased.
Papers will be searched for at your instruction; items to keep (eg family
photos) are boxed up and the rest is shredded. No need to worry about
clothes and small personal items tucked away in drawers – these too will be
dealt with for you. Unwanted items in good condition are donated to charity
or disposed of if unusable. Finally, once the property is empty, a thorough
clean will leave it ready to be put on the market.
This service is also
available to anyone who is downsizing, divorcing or moving.
