TYPES OF CLAIM

Cardiac (Heart - Cardiology and/or Surgery)

·        Failure to correctly interpret ECG trace or echocardiogram or angiogram leading to failure to
       diagnose of heart conditions

·        Failure to adequately monitor patients’ medication or prescribe the appropriate medication

·        Failure to carry out appropriate surgery at all or promptly such as angioplasty, valve
       replacement or cardiac bypass surgery

·        Failure to refer for cardiac transplantation at all or promptly

·        Failure to investigate chest pain adequately

·        Failure to monitor foot pulse following insertion of intra aortic balloon pump leading to
       ischaemia and amputation of leg incorrectly wiring of pacemaker
